I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia and owner of Sunlight Counseling PLLC.  I have over 20 years of experience in the healing profession in a variety of settings ranging from outpatient therapy, residential settings and community-based treatment for children, teens, adults, and families.  I have participated in several specialized trainings in the areas of anxiety, mindfulness, trauma, self-regulation, cognitive-behavioral therapy, mood disorders, acceptance and commitment therapy, and self-compassion.

Allison Russell, LPC

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with over eight years of experience providing clinical services to a wide range of individuals. Throughout my work, I have assisted adults, adolescents and families improve communication, navigate crises, build healthier relationships, and create lasting change. I have supported adults with co-occurring mental health diagnoses to overcome challenges related to trauma, life transitions, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, unhealthy boundaries, and difficult relationships. 

Megan Colon, LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 8 years of experience in the field. I am dedicated to providing a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients can embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing.  My academic experience includes a Bachelor of Psychology and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Old Dominion University. I also have additional training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectal Behavioral Therapy.
